Applewatch settings

Hi all, this may be a silly question here….But, what workout type do applewatch users pick to record their workouts? There isn’t a burpee specific type, which is a shame so I choose HIIT workout. Also no matter how hard I work it always shows pretty much the same calories burned so I get a feeling it has a calorie per hour average and calculates the workout that way?

I’ve been using “traditional strength training”. I had been doing some TRX training, and I noticed the same thing you did with the HIIT setting. The traditional strength training seems to be more accurate and fluctuates between workouts more along the lines as I would expect.

I also use the HIIT for burpees. It records calories according to heart rate I think so there are differences between sessions, but it averages out at around 10 calls per minute for me.
