Excessive spam

What's with all the spam here?  I think the high number of spam posts put people off posting things relevant to the Busy Dad Program.

 

I'd be happy to delete them, but I'm a new member and not established at all yet.

Thanks for the reports! IIRC the spam filter was blocking some people so I removed it. I've just turned it back on.

Hopefully people don't get blocked (if anyone does let me know: [email protected])!

Hey @Hymix,

 

I wish I was a developer and have a solution.

 

I have just entered the forum 1-2 days ago and just keep reporting spam posts... it is annoying.

 

If there was a "report user" function/button perhaps would be better.

 

Any admin help would be great!

Sorry admin,  but didn't saw your reply before I make my comment.

If you are on it, perhaps you know how to clear this forum a little bit. Also Is there a way to remove old spam posts with 0 replies?

Appreciate the reports - actually what got me here! Current plan:

  • Delete all spam
  • Ban spam users
  • Trial anti-spam (hopefully it doesn't block people this time)
  • Give a few users moderator status so they can ban/block themselves
